Bempton & Filey
Bempton & Filey
07/04/25
Its the school holidays so whilst JP is hard at work at home I took the kids and Claire over to the east coast for some bird watching, fish and chips and the beach.
The weather was bright and sunny but its early April so the sea is freezing and the onshore wind had a real chill. We identified in total 25 different birds including a fancy chicken on the verge in a village on the way home. We didn't photograph them all.
The cliffs at Bempton RSPB at this time of year are awesome. Ingrams fish and chips are first class. The beach was like beaches in Fuerteventura if a little cooler. Whats not to like.
Paddling was a refrigerated ordeal so I really admire the kids last week going all the way in at Cayton Bay.
Todays photos are in 2 parts. Mine are the first ones, followed by Lacey's. See if you can identify any of the birds as well as the Puffins.
